About Me

Hello everyone,

My name is John Sartin, the guy with the long hair. I may seem a little shy when you first meet me but as you get to know me, my goofy side just seems to come out naturally. I was born in San Antonio Texas where I was raised for most of my life. In 2003, my mom, a member of the United States Air Force Band, got stationed in Kaiserslautern Germany. We were stationed in Germany for about four years before coming back to San Antonio in 2007. I'm an only child to my two loving parents, Phil and Rosemary Sartin. We also share our house with two crazy little rascals, our dog's Apollo and Laini. I attended Warren High School where I excelled in both football and soccer. In fact, excelling in football is what brought me to the lovely university I attend today.

I accepted the offer to come play football at Hardin-Simmons, being that playing college ball had always been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. Football was definitely not the only reason for attending Hardin-Simmons, their outstanding Physical Therapy program was a huge selling point for me as well as the size of their classrooms. The ability to be able to connect with my professors in the classroom is the best scenario towards achieving the success I'm aiming for. As a Biology major in my second semester of college, I can't wait to find out what else is in store for me.

I'm thankful for how close I get to be to my girlfriend, Toria,  being that she attends Abilene Christian University. My girlfriend is my best friend in the whole world. I love how goofy we are together and how happy she makes me feel every second we're together. She makes me want to be a better person everyday based off how kind and loving she is on a daily basis. The ability for us to do almost everything together makes life an absolute blast.

If I were to compare myself to any animal, it would be an elephant because I stand strong when need be while being loyal and compassionate to the ones I love. I feel like that would resemble an elephant very well.

Well that about wraps it up for me. Thank you for reading!

  1. Het John it's nice to get to know a little about you and I'm happy your enjoying it so far at Hardin Simmons, I am also happy you found happiness with someone and that you enjoy what your doing! I feel the same way about my girlfriend and its really cool to see someone else as happy as I am, I wish you luck with PT applications as I hear they are very competitive.

  2. Hey John, I had you in class all last semester and I didn't know you were planning on doing Physical Therapy. The PT program is the main reason I came to Hardin-Simmons too. Also, I think it is so cute that you mentioned your girlfriend in your blog! Y'all are too cute!
